Women in commercial real estate are rising to the C-suite and the boardroom, and they are heading up key divisions for their firms. But, leadership still skews toward men, particularly white men.
NAREIM and Ferguson Partners recently released the results of The Global Real Estate DEI Survey 2022. In North America, responding companies reported that their workforces are 57.5 percent men and 42.5 percent women, a 3.7 percent increase in female representation from 2021. But just 25.4 percent of those women are at the board level and 23 percent are at the executive management level.
The 10 women featured here are all at the top of their respective CRE specialties, and they are all determined to help fellow women—and individuals from other under-represented groups—join them there.
