Industry veteran Oron Maher has struck out on his own, launching Beverly Hills-based Maher Commercial Realty , Commercial Observer has learned.
The brokerage, located at 275 South Beverly Drive , specializes in investment sales and leasing across all property types within the Greater Los Angeles area. Maher has eight associates with plans to further expand.
“The purpose of Maher Commercial Realty is to offer buyers and sellers the seasoned expertise of a large brokerage with the individualized attention of a boutique shop,” Maher told Commercial Observer. “On top of that, we have found proprietary ways to leverage technology and human capital to bring highly targeted buyers and sellers together, ensuring our sellers receive the most competitive price for their investment properties and our buyers find rare and off-market opportunities.”
Maher has arranged more than $430 million in transactions throughout his 18-year career. His deals include representing LaTerra Development in its May 2017 acquisition of a 38,593-square-foot shopping at 4850 Hollywood Boulevard for $10.4 million. LaTerra Development will be erecting a mixed-use project at the site. He also negotiated a deal for five contiguous lots spanning 27,500 square feet at 3303 W. Sunset Blvd . in Silver Lake and a 30,274-square-foot shopping center at 5609-5615 West Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
Maher was most recently a broker at BRC Advisors , until June 1.
“He’s an outstanding broker,” said Richard Enderlin , a managing partner and the COO for BRC. “He’s very accomplished. He’s very professional. I have nothing but high regard for him. When you get someone as talented as that they come to the realization that they are probably better off doing it on their own when they have that kind of a pipeline. That’s the nature of the business.”
Before his time at BRC, Maher spent nine years at Coldwell Banker Commercial , where he oversaw a team ranked within the top 1 percent of commercial brokers in the Coldwell network.
