29th Street Capital Buys 232-Unit Class A Multifamily in Silver Spring Lisa McDuffie on March 7, 2023 at 2:04 pm – Robert Khodadadian

Real estate investment firm 29th Street Capital has acquired Solaire Apartments, a 232-unit Class A property located in Silver Spring, MD. Haven Residential, a property management company owned by 29th Street Capital, will oversee leasing.

Brian Crivella, Walter Coker, Bill Gribbin, and Yalda Ghamarian of Berkadia represented the seller.

29th Street Capital plans to rebrand the 2014-constructed property to “Maven at Wheaton” and will upgrade the asset by renovating apartment units and modernizing interior and exterior amenity areas. The six-floor building features fitness center, pool and sundeck, community room and courtyard patio with grilling station.

“Solaire Apartments is a high-quality transit-oriented property within a short walk of both Wheaton Metrorail Station and Westfield Wheaton Mall,” said Brian Berry, SVP MidAtlantic for 29th Street Capital. “We look forward to executing on our business plan and continuing to expand in the Washington, DC region.” 29th Street Capital’s current portfolio consists of more than 20,000 existing units and a development pipeline of over 3,800 units.
