The coworking space industry is booming nationwide due to consistent demand. However, prices for the same services differ widely across the country, according to researchers at CoworkingCafe who wanted to see which metro areas have the highest and lowest median prices for the most common coworking subscription types.

One result? Washington, DC is the country’s fifth most expensive metro area for dedicated desks.

*The median price for a dedicated desk in the Washington, DC area is the 5th highest among the metro areas at $412 per month. At the other end of the spectrum is Indianapolis, IN, with $204/month for the same subscription.

*Washington, D.C. is also among the most expensive metros when it comes to open workspaces at $200 per month. Fourteen metros are tied for the lowest median price at $93 per month for this subscription, including Silicon Valley, CA; Philadelphia, PA and Las Vegas, NV.

*When it comes to virtual offices, Washington, D.C. lands on the slightly more affordable side at $79 per month. The most expensive in this category is Nashville, TN, at $215 per month.
