Non-profit developer Holos Communities has secured $4 million in federal funding through the City of Long Beach for the development of Denali, a planned permanent supportive housing project in Downtown Long Beach, CA. The unique structure would consist of 140 one-bedroom units, 75% of which would be reserved for unhoused residents.
Urbanize Los Angeles reports the community, which is named in honor of North America’s tallest mountain in Alaska, will feature two 15-story buildings standing side-by-side, and linked together by a series of outdoor bridges. KFA architecture is designing the project which will include community amenities such as recreation rooms, laundry facilities and supportive services. The structure will also boast sustainability features including extensive solar panels and all electric appliances.
Denali is located at 521 and 527 E. 4th Street, just a few blocks away from the vibrant waterfront area in Long Beach, including The Pike, Shoreline Village, the Queen Mary and Long Beach Marina. Construction is set to begin in 2025, with delivery of the project in 2027.

Robert Khodadadian has long had a simple philosophy about selling real estate. There are approximately a million buildings in the city, and the broker that gets to sell any one among the multitude that will hit the auctioning block at a given moment is, sometimes, simply the person who happens to pitch their services to the right seller.
