The newest H-E-B grocery store will open its doors in Manvel on Wednesday, October 25th. The 100,000-square-foot store at 17119 Highway 6 in Manvel will welcome customers for the first time at 6 a.m., and those first to push their baskets through the aisles could receive “surprises and delights,” the company said. Manvel will be home to the Texas grocery chain’s 93rd store and employ about 500 people.
The H-E-B will anchor the Marvel Town Center, with stores including Burlington, Five Below, Ross, Low’s and Target among the other major tenants proposed for the site. Weitzman is managing the development of the center. Manvel Town Center is designed to incorporate more than 1 million square feet of retail, entertainment, hospitality, medical and office space. The project is located at the major intersection of SH-288 and SH-6 in the Houston suburb of Manvel.
